when it happened the first time
i didnt think anything of it
i was simply driving along a two lane road
and a van pulled onto the road and into the opposite lane of traffic
right in front of me
it wasnt that big of a deal
id had people pull out in front of me before
and i was only going 25 mph
there were cars parked on the road
so i thought maybe he just couldnt see me
but after he started pulling out
he started accelerating pretty quickly because he did see me
i hardly had to push on my breaks
collision avoided
but when it happened to me again in the same week
i began to wonder
another van
it pulled out in front of me entering the opposite lane of traffic
this time a four lane highway
two lanes per direction
this time i was going 35 mph
i didnt even have time to check behind me
i just instinctively slammed on my breaks
luckily there wasnt anyone behind me
and luckily i missed disaster
i was on the way to school
and i didnt think much of it
except that i was stupid not to look behind me
or check to see if there was someone beside me
in case i needed to swerve out of the way
it happens again
the third time in one week
this time
however
it is a red suv pulling into my lane of traffic
my speed is only 25 mph
they are on a collision course with me
i think that they see me and continue on
thinking they will stop
but they either didnt see or thought they had the right of way
(which they most definitely did not)
they just barreled on
i ended up having to swerve out of the way
which was no big deal
because the roads here in utah are a mile wide
but i cant help but think that there is something wrong with this picture
this is more than just mere coincidence
i thought of what the explanation could be
here is what i came up with
1) someone wittily placed a sticker on my car saying "crash into me please" without me noticing
2) my car is invisible
3) there is a conspiracy planning my death
i dont know which it is
but if you happen to know
then dont hesitate in filling me in
or if you have any other possible ideas
then let me know those too

so its been a long time since i last updated
i will try not to make this too long
but a lot has gone on
so there are no guarantees
here we go

not too long ago
clint taylor mom and i went to goblin valley
with uncle ians family
we had a blast
if you have not been there
then go now
right this second
because it is just about the coolest place in utah you can go

last week
mom and i went to see 20000 leagues under the sea
the 1954 version
at the local library
for a while we were the only ones there
but then this older couple came also
it was entertaining
and the special effects were surprising for a movie made that long ago
while we were there
i also got to look at the library
and i must say
i love the design of the building
the whole thing it so cool looking

yesterday
mom melissa and i went to rock canyon trail
we didnt get to hike very far up the trail
because i had to do a photography project for school
but it was still fun
and we saw mountain goats of some sort
(i am hoping we will go again sometime and hike the whole trail?)
then we went to panda express
it was the first time id ever eaten there
i liked it
but i must say
jin jin is better
by far
we then bought ice cream at smiths
went home and ate it
vanilla frozen yogurt
and blueberry pomegranate chocolate chunk (melissas choice)
and they were both delicious
then we watched lords of the gourds
and i must say
if you ever get the chance to watch it
then do
or purchase it for a steal of only $24.99
(im not being serious
dont buy it
any maybe dont watch it
though i am serious about it being funny)
it was really funny
luckily for us
because we had not already eaten enough ice cream
grandma brought us some more ice cream and some cake
i felt so fat by the end of the day

so that is what ive been up to
and ive noticed that not many other people have been keeping up with their blogs
and i am curious to know what youve been doing

though they have conservation efforts going out for this species

there is such a slim chance of them ever making a come-back

the first day of school is over
apush sounds hard
and i think i had work to do over the summer
that i obviously didnt
and we are going to have to read and write a lot
and the class is huge and loud
and i do not like the teacher
then i had band
and i did not like that either
i have to play with the marching band for football games
on my flute
and i really dont want to
that is the least fun part of marching band
and im not even in marching band and i have to do it
!!!!!

then i had french
which is full immersion
and she said even we are only allowed to speak french
i think they know a little bit more than i do
but i knew some things they didnt know
so that is good
i think i will like french
and then we had lunch
we went to susans
and even though she wasnt there
she left us some brownies
and a not that said we could make ourselves at home
she is too nice :D
she asked us our opinion on what the wall colour should be
and i liked spring brook or something like that
a nice cool blue color
i think it will look great
but whatever she picks i am sure will look great
after lunch i hurried to math
but was late
and the class seems hard
and i already have homework
but not too bad like apush did
and at least it will count for college credit
but i figured out that my college grade is determined only from two grades
a midterm which is 40%
and a final exam which is 60%
so if i do bad on either one
my college grade can be jeopardized
i dont think it will be too hard
the good thing about math is that there is a problem
and all you have to do is apply what you know to solve it
and maybe even what you dont know
but with things like history
if you dont know a specific name
or date
then you could fail miserably
also
the grading scale here is on tens
like 90+ is an a
and 80-89 is a b
unlike south carolina grading
tomorrow i have chemistry photo economics and english
how fun...

Why Do I Keep Having Dreams About People Dying

so far clint has died twice
once because i ruthlessly killed him
by shooting him in the head
and another because he was motorcyling with two other people
and they all were going really fast
and they ran into each other and tumbled and rolled
until they ran into a car
clint died there too
my dad didnt die in a dream
he was just dead
and victoria committed suicide
by jumping off her school building
and died
soooooo
yep
fun dreams
but the weird thing is
when i woke up
every time i thought that it really happened
so i was really sad
until i realized that it wasnt true
then i was just like
why did i have another of those dreams
haha

not much has been going on
just hanging out with relatives
and taylors band camp
and melissas job interviews
thats about it
im loving that there are five nick channels
and they show avatar
i finally got a bookshelf
and i need another
haha
it is all the way filled up
i could put books on top
but as for right now i dont want to shift everything up
because they are in alphabetical order by author
so i dont want to have to move every book
so i will keep it the way it is for now

today we played video games all morning
until about five oclock actually
when mom said that we needed to get out of the house
so she cut up some fruit
and we left
we went to a park in provo??? canyon
and we sat at a picnic table and ate peaches watermelon strawberries and pineapple
the pineapple was especially delicious
then we just walked around
then drove off to another park
and we just sort of happened upon a trail
that we walked on
and it kept going up the mountain
and splitting to different paths
and we ended up on top of a huge hill
looking into valleys of other hills
and everything was beautiful
and great
the wind
which usually bothers me
didnt
and the bugs didnt bother me either
nothing did
it was just peaceful and great

i found animal poop
and melissa taylor mom and maybe even clint saw a deer
but i didnt see it
that was disappointing
but there will always be other opportunities
so we ended up having a lot of fun
and i will definitely be going back there again

we are here in utah
to update you on before we got here
...

one thing i forgot to say about the reunion
we went into a corn field
because it was just across the street from the farmhouse
we all got really ichy
and wet
and rashy
and it was not a good idea
keep that for a future note
we left
and entered iowa at 11:52
as i said
but it really was 10:52
because of the time change
then we entered nebraska at 6:50
but really 5:50
we stayed in a hotel there
then we left the next day
we entered the mountain time zone at 4:07
but 3:07 mountain time zone time
we entered colorodo at 3:51 mtz
we stayed at a hotel in colorodo
we entered wyoming at 11:30 mtz
and later utah at 5:37 mtz
the elevation where we entered utah was 6860
along the trek
we basically listened to music and talked and read
we found every license plate but connecticut rhode island and vermont
we saw along the way some deer
lots of dead deer
two alive raccoons
an alive ground hog
i saw a camel
!!!!
for reals
it was just sitting in this tiny fenced in area next to a shabby barn
we saw an alpaca farm
a HUGE cow farm
with lots of poop
and tons of cows in miserable little fenced in areas
two donkeys
melissa and i saw a pony or a horse
that was just standing on a road that the interstate exited to
that led to a ranch
but he got out of the fence
!!!
we saw a badger
we passed the pony express
and buffalo bills ranch
and that is all
now we have gone to family dinner parties
and hiked timpanogos mountain
and gone into the cave
that was really cool
and cold
i loved it
im all moved into my room
all of my books are on the windowsill because i dont have a bookshelf
and it goes to three levels of books
some books are on my dresser
and some on my end table
i have a lot of books
if i remember anything else

i drove us into nauvoo
i had to drive through a torrential downpour
words cannot describe it
i could barely see anything past the fog and rain
there were times when i couldnt see the lines on the road
so we arrived in historic nauvoo
we watched the pageant
and took the tours
and hung out with cousins
we played lots of bananagrams
in which i won a lot
now we are leaving
we just entered iowa at 11:52
one thing about nauvoo
it is way too humid here
i am glad we are leaving

we got back from arlington virginia not long ago

that i beat anna and taylor in life
and clue...

again
the second time in a row!
i will miss them
hopefully you guys can visit next summer

we will put everything on the truck to ready for our voyage across the us
now my mom just said that it is time for bed
because tomorrow is such a big day

nintendo has wowed the crowd

by announcing a 3d ds
and you dont even need glasses
they will be releasing nintendogs + cats
kid icarus
metal gear solid
resident evil
and pokemon
it looks awesome

speaking of pokemon
the new game sometimes looks amazing
but other times it looks like the same old same old
and the new pokemon...

you should look at them

they are interesting
but when you look at some of the old ones
even from the first season
like mr mime
or jynx
or even alakazam
you realize that the new ones arent so bad

now back to e3
on the wii side
they talked more about the new zelda game
i cant wait!!!

they have finally announced another profession

and during those two weeks
i only have half days
yayay
and im pretty much done with oboe-related events
for a while
just one last lakeside concert

at the fine arts center i only have two weeks and four days left
and then ill only have easley classes for the next three weeks
so that means ill be done with school at 11,25 every day
i cant wait
coming up is a school concert
and three orchestra concerts

and one recital for my oboe teacher
i also have one ap test
and only one (hopefully) exam
there isnt much material the teachers have left to teach
and then im done for the year
able to sit back and relax

Return to the Hundred Acre Wood

i was surprised when they decided to write this
how could they think they could rewrite winnie-the-pooh
especially without a a milne
and then i discovered that they added a new character
what were they thinking
the artwork turned out fine
in fact i rather liked it
but the writing style just wasnt the same
and near the beginning i just didnt like it
but if i thought of it as its own book
instead of a sequal to winnie-the-pooh
i did end up liking it
the end was sad
and my favorite chapter was chapter seven
in which lottie starts an academy and everybody learns something
i also like chapters eight nine and ten
which were about cricket africa and the harvest festival
i think that the author was finally getting in the swing of things near the end
i learned more rules about cricket
and pooh is still my favorite character
i do suggest you read all the winnie-the-poohs
especially the first two
but this one is worth the time
(really it doesnt take that long to read)
im sure they are at you local library

the olympics are over
this was the first olympics that i actually watched
and i watched almost every bit of it
only missing on occasion for school
or acitivities like orchestra

usa won the medal count
although not the gold medal count
congratulations to all of the olympians
the closing ceremony was cheesy
but i cant wait for the russian federation winter olympics
the preview that they presented looked cool
and high tech
and spacy
taylor and i agree that they are holding it in space
anyway
even though i lost a lot of sleep
to where i was playing my oboe upside-down

a long time ago
you gave me a novel
probably mostly for the joke
called the little lame prince
and i finally have gotten around to reading it
and i must say
that i enjoyed it
it turns out
though
that the story was only half of the book
you probably knew that
but the other half is the adventures of a brownie
i liked the narration of the little lame prince
it was told in the point of view of the author
and sometimes she spoke of herself
and such
the next part will not spoil the story
just tell you what it is about
which does require telling a bit of the story
but not much
so if you dont want any to be spoiled
then dont read it
but im sure it wont make a difference
the story is mostly about a prince
who was dropped on his coronation as a baby
and his legs never grew right
then his mother then his father died
and he was crowned king
his fathers brother was named the regent
since the prince who is now king was too young to rule
and one day the regent sent the king on a journey for a while
and his servents came back a few days later
saying that the king had gotten sick and died
so the regent was king
and the prince wasnt really dead
and then the story continues
if you or anyone can get their hands on another copy of this book
i would recommend getting it and reading it

today we went to see avatar
i will start by saying that a long time ago
about two months ago
my friend briana told me they were making a live action avatar
like avatar the airbender
aang
so i searched for some proof of this statement
and instead found avatar
the one that everyone knows and loves
with the na'vi
and cool 3d visuals
i never did find proof of avatar the last airbender live-actioned up
so if anyone knows anything about it
then please just leave a comment
anyways
i started watching previews of avatar
and i thought it seemed pretty cool
then when it came out in theaters
i just didnt feel like going to see it
you see
i dont like movie theaters very much
but when everyone else started going to see it
and constantly talking about how amazing it was
i started wanting to go and see it
but wasnt quite convinced
i thought id watch it when it came out on dvd
but then everyone kept saying how you had to see it in 3d
so thats when clint taylor mom and i all went together to go watch it
today
in 3d
and it was amazing
it is another one of those sci-fi/fantasies
that when i finish watching it
or reading it in most cases
i just want to kick myself because i cant think of anything that amazing
i want to write a book
but i just cant think of anything that would actually interest people
i cant think of anything as great as lotr or hp
but oh well

cousins just left not too long ago

and kept poor pim locked up all the time

we had tons of fun
as you can imagine
we went bowling
and all of us were utterly horrible
wii bowling
you messed us all up
thanks a lot
i scored 70 in round one
then 76
poor anna didnt even break 50 the first round
she only got 39
we had rave parties
and bought cheap guns that shoot fake rounds
and had gun fights
we attempted to geocash
but kept getting caught by cops
haha
but we did find one in the walmart parking lot
grandma was funny as ever
oh! its a banana
we opened gifts
i got a used sleeping bag
a bag
a candle
and a ribbon

hoo ha toe!
all the kids but kate and i
had a water balloon fight
they are crazy
its freezing outside
but they said they had fun
and as i cleaned up the balloon remnants
i could tell that it was and epic fight
we stayed up really late every night

having tons of fun
and i really will miss them
i already miss them
but things arent all bad
cause now we have skype
so we can visit them all the time

even though i hate doing that

i got the worlds most awesome cat tower
it is shaped like a tree and pim loves it
that might have something to do with the fact that it is covered in cat nip
...
anyway
i think that pim is just adorable when she plays with it
also
pim got a mousy
that was hand sewn by taylor
filled with more cat nip
and pim got some cat bowls
that are extremely awesome
and too heavy for her to push around

no more mushy food and water combination
no more mildew coating the bottom of her bowls

dont forget the rosienator
she got a new dog bed
that is just what she needed
i got a beanie baby cat
named cricket
that has cat nip on it
by accident

going to viginia for thanksgiving was great
cant wait for new years
we had a lot of fun
going to eastern market
cough cough
then riding the metro to some random place
and walking around the freezing city of dc
with joey anna and taylor
walking aimlessly
freezing cold
and i was sick
and it only made me sicker
fun
right
then being stuck inside while the others had fun outside
playing frisbee in the dark
and i think capture the flag with a glowstick
and who knows what else
and i missed it all
being inside
reading
but i do like to read
we watched harry potter 1 again
yay
i love that one
it is so fun to make fun of the actors the entire time
they were so little
we had a fun thanksgiving dinner
and lots of sparkling cider
katie was nice and made food for me when i was sick
and we played life
and clue
which i won
i beat the anna

we made a fire one night
when it was freezing cold
and had a fire dance
that was nice
and played much oregon trail
i beat the first of second

and the fifth
very exciting
and we had more zoo tycoon races
trees with legs won

we went to museums
the national museum of natural history
i love their mammel section
it was fantastic
and we went to another
which anna and i ran through
i accidently kicked a stroller
and we cut a lot of people off
but it was fun
and we had no time to waste
we only got 25 minutes to see the whole museum
which we pretty much did
very exciting
now im trying to catch up on homework that i missed
because i missed two days of school

i have a fever of 101.0 right now

its been raining a lot lately
i and love it
lots of lots of rain
just wonderful
taylor and i wend out in the rain
and walked around in shorts and flipflops
with umbrellas
and it was nice
we walked around in all the puddles

i like it though
and i dont want it to stop
i dont understand why rain is a negative thing

im not much liking having to read a farewell to arms again
i didnt like it the first time much
so how am i to like it again
i think we try to dig too deep when reading stories
if you notice the deep things while reading
then great
but i dont want to have to go look for them
i read books for the story
not for the philosophical reasons
or the whatever other reasons
that arent even there
you have to try so hard to make it seem like it
that is just ruins it
you cant possibly enjoy the book
maybe its not the point to enjoy the book
but why read a book just to get deep meanings out of it
whats the point

why study the reasons for why the old dead composers did things
they just did them
we dont have to create theories off of it
my teacher today said that when we go to concerts later in life
he wants us to be able to appreciate the music more
he wants us to be able to say
oh that was a great placement of a leading tone
or
ooh that perfect fifth with that triad was a great sound
who does that
why would we do that
when i listen to music
i want to listen and enjoy it
not pick it apart for dumb theory stuff
but the class is an ap creadit

lets just hope i make something like a five on the exam
apparently ninety-three percent make fours and fives in mr dr john greirs class
he has an average of over four

so school has started
and i thought this year would be really stressfull
i dont know about that anymore
i have two classes at easley
then i go home for an hour
which is great because i can eat
and do homework
then i go to the fine arts center for my music class
and my music theory class
which are shorter than easley classes
only an hour each
then i go home

this year at easley my classes are
algebra 2
biology
french
and english 3
i am a bit worried about fish
he seems to like assigning a lot of work
just for the sake of assigning a lot of work
french will be okay
biology teacher talks a lot
and algebra teacher is annoying

i will probably have to take some online classes
but that will be okay
not too much time out of my day
and i am doing the gcyo
or greenville county youth orchestra
which is like cys
but a higher expectation level
i am also doing cys
and am still taking oboe lessons

hopefully this year will pass by quickly
or hopefully well just get to christmas break soon
im already ready for it

thats about all thats been going on
i am half way through with the last lord of the rings
they will definitely be on the recommended book list

i forgot to mention a few things we did on our trip
first of all
on the way to junction and the family reunion
we missed our turn off
we went on and on
until finally mom got service and we stopped and checked a map on her phone
we found out that we were on our way to denver
yay denver
we wasted about two hours with this expidition
but it was fun
we like getting lost

on the way though
we saw big rock candy mountain
and it was disappointing
it looks nothing like candy
it looks like chocolate and vanilla powder
however it does look cool
just not like it should

if you read one of the comments from my aunt
it said that we went panning for gold
i forgot that too
we did find little
tiny pieces of "gold"
it could have been anything really
but it was an adventure

thats all i remember

i updated my reading list
with books that i read a long time ago and just forgot to put on
and some are more childish than others
but they were my favorites when i was little
so they earn a spot on the list just as much as any other

the baseball game was long
very long
four and a half hours too long
ha ha
i dont much like baseball
but it was fun
grandma narrated the whole game
sang the national anthem with the three girls on the field
and complained whenever they switched from outfield to infield
because she wanted them to play ball
she didnt understand why they were just throwing the ball around to each other
"what are we doing
playing catch"
we ended up loosing by three points
ten to seven
we got to watch the fireworks show however
for some reason the theme for the game was christmas
they gave out presents
and people were wearing christmas hats and colors

went to see harry potter
it was weird because when we went into the theater
nobody was there
nobody
but then two people came
and they sat somewhere behind us
and then two more people
and they sat two rows in front of us
and then the movie started
seven people in the whole theater
i thought there would be more
considering how popular the movie is
and we were worried it would be sold out
ha ha
my mom absolutely loved the movie
she said its one of her top ten
you have no idea how many times ive heard how much she likes it
she said she would watch it again
and quite frankly
i would too
i think it was great
and probably the best of the harry potter movies so far
i am not going to tell you what happened though
so those of you who have not seen it
do not worry
but do see it soon
although it was a serious movie
there were quite a few parts that make you laugh
at least they made me laugh

last week i ordered wands from noblecollection.com
i got two
one for taylor
because i still hadnt gotten her her present
and one for me
because they are awesome
they came last wednesday
but we were in utah
so when we got back i wrapped it
and taylor opened it thursday
i got sirius blacks wand
and it is really cool looking
taylor got cho changs
and it is really cool too
but she already
on the day that she opened it
broke it
it isnt siriously broken
just two tiny chips out of the tip
but she only found one of the chips
she is going to glue it back
and it will fit seamlessly for sure
so you wont even be able to tell
but there is another tiny piece missing
that she is so worked up over
sorry taylor
but it will look okay
trust me
you wont even notice
now these wands may seem pointless
because they cost so much
and what can you do with them really
but of course
you can do magic
everyone should have one
i wont get another though
well
maybe when i am rich one day

just about thirty minutes ago

went down to our warehouse
and moved radiators out of a huge truck
and into the warehouse

we moved some of the boxes out of one truck
and into another
it was hot
and dry
and super dusty
i took off my sock
and my foot was clean
from where my sock kept the dirt off
but my legs were covered with dirt
and there was a dark ring of dirt around my leg where my sock ended
it looked funny
but it took us an hour and forty-five minutes
and i get paid fifty dollars
so that is more than twenty five dollars an hour
so i am not complaining

well that is what ive been doing
i think im going to a baseball game later today
so maybe ill tell you about that

so let me recount my trip
however
for a more detailed post
read taylors blog
because she even tells you how many seats there were per row
and what we ate almost every day
but this is my version

we left on tuesday
really early in the morning
and flew to salt lake city utah
when we arrived
my aunt paula picked us up
we hung out for a while at her house and talked
until grandma took us home
when we got to grandmas
we met aunt sue
and matt
and anna
matt looks a lot older
and anna
my cousin toni's daughter
was really cute
absolutely adorable
we ate and talked for a while until they left
and then we slept

the next day we drove out to junction
where we had the reunion in an old courthouse
it was old and really cool
and big
i wish i had a house like that
for the first two nights
taylor and i stayed in the library
which was by far the coolest room in the house
full of books
with a cool loft
that you werent allowed to go in

the first day we got there we ate and made smores
the next day
we woke up and went to the park to play tennis
then i think we hung out
and played the coolest outdoor game ever
it is called koob
everyone needs to play it
it is supposedly an old viking game
but basically
there are four stakes in the ground that act as the playing ground
the four corners of the rectangle
on the two shorter sides there are five blocks standing up
and the goal is to knock them over with long wooden batons
you have six throws per turn to knock them over
and if you do
then the other team throws them over onto your side
and they have to try to knock them over
if they dont
you keep them on your side
you are supposed to try to get all the blocks on your side
and when you do
then you have a chance to knock over the block in the middle of the field
called the king pin
if you do
then you win
if this explaination was confusing

or something like that

anyway
then we went skeet shooting
they had the launcher
and everyone had a turn to shoot them out of the sky
harrison got all five of his first ones
my mom even hit a lot of hers
i didnt try
i just didnt want to
there was no appeal
but i was fun watching

the next day
we went to the lake
i didnt have a bathing suit
so i didnt swim or tube
and it was just too hot to go on the boat or the canoe
so i stayed under the shade
and hung out with the aunts
and the great grandkids
it was fun to get to know them
and play basketball with them
we played more koob this day
and i was undefeatable overall
except once on sunday but ill talk about that later
liz and i were on a team with toni
but toni left at the beginning to take care of anna
so we recruited taylor
we were against nick kimber and sunny
the game started and we were losing
or maybe we were winning
i dont know
and then we made a comeback
but then the other team made a comeback
because i missed the king pin
bounced right off the top without knocking it over
but then we made a comeback and won

or maybe it went us then them then us win
i dont know

but the game lasted forever
and we had a huge audience
and it felt great to win

the last day of the reunion
we probably played koob in the morning
then left to the bryce canyon
it was pretty but hot
and once youve seen one part
youve seen it all
but the aunts and uncles insisted on seeing it at different perspectives
then we went out to eat at a drive in in penguitch
i had a grilled cheese and a chocolate shake
yum
then mom grandma taylor and i went to cedar city
where mom grew up
and saw all of her childhood
like her elementary school
and her house
and her friends houses
and her college
and her picture on the wall in the college
or more the picture with her in it on the wall in the college
ha ha
but then we went to aunt sues house
and played bang with sue mom thad harrison taylor and i
the outlaws won

that was sue taylor and i

the next day we had a family party at aunt sues
we played koob
and ate
there were really good rolls cooked in a sun cooker
and extremely good brownies
i think made by todd and loris family

then we played bang
and the outlaws won again
it was a longer game
with eleven people to start
eventually harrison was out
who was an outlaw
then ally
another outlaw
then liz
a renegade
then matt
a deputy
then me
and outlaw
eventually bret killed taylor who was the sheriff
so the outlaws won
go outlaws again

the parents played puerto rico
then there was a koob match
liz kirsten and bus
against me sue and matt
matt was bad
no offense
but it was his first time
sue was amazing
and i stunk
so we lost
my first loss
but my first time not on lizzys team
that is why i lost
ha ha

the last day full day in utah
we went to logan
and spent the day with harrison
we saw his house
and went out to eat at einstein bagels
which was delicious
and bought him some athletic shoes
and some pants
and then went home to watch singing in the rain
and hale center theater
which was a tiny theater with seats on three sides
the play was really good

the last day
we woke up
went to get taylors glasses and mp3 player that she left in lizzys car
and then made our way to the airport
grandma took us
the ride home was short
and now i am here

in other news
i finished farewell to arms
and although i complained about it earlier
i liked it enough
it wasnt bad
now i am reading the water is wide
and it took some getting into
and it is decent also
not something i would read by choice
but okay

i finally went shopping
and i got clothes
the first time ive had new clothes in ages
i got quite a few tops
and three pairs of shorts
and i got skirts
skirts!!
i dont think ive had skirts since i was eight
i have two now
however they left the ink tag on it
so we are going to take it to get it taken off tomorrow
we also went shoe shopping
because i was supposed to get some new flip-flops
but i couldnt find any i liked
so guess what i got

yay
i love converse
i finally got some plain black and white ones
who doesnt have plain black and white converse
everyone should have a pair
and i also got some blue and brown ones
with a bee on them
i drove in the black ones already
ha ha
i like driving
i drove home from rite aid
mom wont let me drive on 123
too dangerous she thinks
i dont much want to drive on it anyway
but i have only gotten to drive twice so far
hopefully i will get to drive some tomorrow

she made taylor a pegasus for her birthday that was gorgeous
and she asked me what she should make next
and i told her to make a barn owl

she made it
and it is really amazing
at the same time i made a hippogryph
in spirit of buckbeak of harry potter
and it is okay
but i like him anyway

and she lets me hold her finally
and pet her without running away
i love her

today was fabulous
i had a full day of harry potter fun
with two amazing people
austin
and taylor
we watched all five movies
no breaks except for dinner
and austin brought his wand
and we looked at wands and merchandise online
i want a wand
i think that would be amazing
but all the merchandise
like figurines
bookends
prop replicas
like rings
necklaces
and crystal balls
cost soooooo much
and it isnt even the correct size for some stuff
like the crytal balls and stands are five inches
that is like three inches of crystal ball
thats tiny
but it was fun seeing all the stuff
and thinking about owning it
ha ha
it was a great day
and i do not consider it a waste at all

that i have read jk rowlings other works
and i liked them

although the tales of beedle the bard was short
they were cute stories
that make convincing fairy tales

the fantastic beasts book was cute
and funny
the creatures were interesting
and it was fun reading the notes that harry ron and hermione wrote in it
(hem hem)
getting to learn more about some of rowlings own creatures

and last
quidditch through the ages
it was informative
on a subject that you cannot be informed on because it isnt real
but yet again
it was fun reading about the different teams
and players
and brooms
and fouls
and plays
and the progression of the game through time
as you will see to your right
(look at the reading list)
they made it on
also an old childrens classic
harold and the purple crayon

i have seen the movies

so when I was in virginia
as you should know if you read the previous post
we watched every harry potter movie so far
in preparation for the new one that is to come
and i felt left out that half the time i didnt know what was happening
because
and this may surprise you
i havent read any of the books
well i did read the first and second
but so long ago i dont remember any of it really
all i know about harry and his friends
comes from watching the movies
so my cousin anna
told me that i had to read the books
so i finished the series i was reading
the firebringer series
quite good
and on my read it list
and started right away on the harry potter series
not so much because i was excited
but because i have three books to read for school before school starts
i have been reading constantly since
literally
that is all i do all day
and they are quite good
i must admit
and i think that rowling did a good job on the first three
i am now on the fourth
about a quarter of the way through
and am a bit disappointed
it just doesnt have the same appeal as the others
the cute but seriousness that the others had
and it doesnt seem as well thought out
now of course i knew this would happen
because i have heard how her writing went downhill
but i will finish the series
and watch the remaining movies
i cant wait for them really
im surprised i didnt like harry potter when i was young
i definitely like it now

i heard that the last movie is going to be realeased in two parts
does anyone know if this is true
if so

we just got back from my cousins house
in arlington virginia
i wish i could go back
i miss them all so much
but pim is throwing a fit
she wont stop meowing
and she already threw up once
she is obviously mad at me for leaving her for so long

i hate ticks
my least favorite bug
along with earwigs

so virginia was fun
as soon as we got there we started watching harry potter

we ate her snackies that she keeps just for our visits

we watched a lot of soccer when we were in virginia
all the teams i wanted to win lost
we also played whiffle ball this day

we went to the zoo

again
against taylor and joey

we didnt really finish though so i think it was really a tie
lastly we watched harry potter
the prizoner of azkaban

the next day
this might be the day we actually went to the zoo
but im just going to say that we ate lunch with grandma
we went to a place called joes
and grandma had pizza and pasta
and breadsticks and meatballs
amazing
we then went home and played more crickett for a while
until we went to get ice cream
i had chocolate chip cookie dough
im not sure what else we did on this day
but watch harry potter
the goblet of fire

the next day
i dont know at all what we did this day
probably stuff from the other days
because i know we played one sport a day
one day we played zoo tycoon
that was exciting
lightning the legend won the race
ha ha
and we played horse racing on the playstation one day
we watched harry potter
the order of the pheonix

the next day
i only remember making a map
and making up characters to go with the map
and randomly making a story-game up as we went
it sort of crashed and burned
no harry potter
because the movie isnt out yet
grrr
but we did watch another episode of zoboomafoo

we woke up

theres not really any facial change
they just seem
different
i dont know
that is the only way to describe it

i can only seem to do it with people i dont look at too much
but people i have looked at some
not someone i just meet
you have to know them a while
but not too long
it wont work with your best friend
or your mom
or sister
but you should try it
because it almost seems like it changes their personality

i just finished reading 'the pillowman' by martin mcdonagh
and was amazed
and youll probably be amazed too mom
that i liked it
it was humorous
in a dark way
and the stories
although gruesome
were well written
one of my favorites was the story 'the story of the little deaf boy on the big long railroad tracks. in china'
however
i think the play would be only mildly good as a play
because it just wouldnt have the same appeal to me
i like books more than plays
so i say all this because i have added it to the book list
even though it is a play
although i warn those who read it
that it is very gruesome
and has language
but it is good

which isnt because i dont like it
or dont have the time
but i dont have anything to say
like now
and every time i do post
i talk about how i have nothing to post about
so it is always the same

we went on our trip to virginia
which was okay
except historic jamestown
because we didnt do anything
except go on a tour
with a mean tour guide lady
who always yelled at us for going too slow
but other than that the trip was fun
we went to busch gardens
rode rollercoasters
but my favorite was the 3d ride
darkastle
it really felt like we were falling

i started back to school again today
now that spring break is over
and it was as lame
if not more
than i expected
why do we have to go through so much school
i understand a few years
but harder few years
that you learn more
and start school later
not when we are five
or whatever
because i dont remember anything that i learned in first grade
or kindergarten
and especially preschool
i dont really remember much of anthing from elementary
or even middle school
but that was probably because we have such bad teachers

i have yet another audition this weekend
and im not really sure if i want to
it is for the greenville county youth symphony
and i dont know anything about their program
ive heard good
and bad

well

because i think this will be a good opportunity for me

however
this week has been more homework-i-sized
i have a project
that was supposed to be due friday
and at the last minute
monday
my teacher changed the date to the next time we have class
wednesday
so i had to work on it all today
i have to create a way to keep an egg from breaking
after dropping it off a two story building
onto the concrete
my first creation took a long time to make
and was completely straws and tape
and it worked
on grass
but failed miserably on cement
and it made me angry
so i made a new one
out of a wet-wipe box
bubble-wrap
and shock-absorbing straws sticking out of it like a porcupine
i named it... tornadee
hehe
also
i just got a project assigned today
for black history month
that is due next week
i have to research an african american
and make a presentation on it
i have a test friday
a test tuesday
a paper fr-
...why am i telling you all of this
well
basically
i wish i had more time to practice what i need for my audition

other than that
nothing is really happening
pim is adorable as ever
and rosie as annoying as ever

I don't really have anything to update on
but maybe
if someone actually even reads my blog
they were wanting to know how things were going
so I will try.

saturday
I had all state auditions
I messed up on sight reading
but other than that I did okay
I made fifth
....(I think)
and am second alternate
which pretty much guarantees I'm not going to play
but at least I got seated.
(Albert didn't *snicker snicker*)

other oboe updates
I made first in the county
(over albert)
first in region
(over albert)
and first in orchestra
(over albert)
but I wonder about that last one
because as soon as he went into the audition
his reed broke
and I felt sorry for him
because I could tell his dad really wanted him to do good
and I could tell he was having trouble with the reed
and I know how that feels to have your reed let you down.
How lame....

in other news
I am reading the outsiders for school
and it's pretty good
but now good enough to put on the read it list
but I still think you should read it
(if that makes sense)
but I did add a series to the list
and a couple other books
so check it out
(my goal is to fill it up)

lastly
I went to meredith's after my audition saturday
(adopted sibling 'and miles to go before I sleep')
and we got a tour of her campus
(USC)
which was cool
I like the brick pathways
that was probably my favorite part
not to say it wasn't interesting
but they were the cool kind y'know
that have moss on them
and are being pulled up by roots
and bricks are falling out and stuff
anyway
they looked really cool
and I wanted to steal them
but I don't think that is possible

so I guess I had more to say than I thought
hope somebody actually reads this
but it was nice reflecting on my week if not

It seems like just the other day it was December
and I was trying to figure out what to get everyone
It is amazing how fast time flies
I realized the other day
that in just three and a half more years
I'll be graduating
and that seems sort of long
but seeing how fast this year passed

for the first time ever

I'll start by saying
"sorry it took so long to update"
even though I doubt anyone actually cares anymore
or even checks if I updated.
It really had been a long time...

Well
life has been pretty dull
marching band ended a long time ago
and we did make it to state
which made me happy
where we placed seventh
which is good so it also made me happy
but I'm sort of glad it's over.
It took up so much time.

I have been reading more lately
and have finished some books
that I did
in fact
add to my Read It!!! list
so check it out.

The family's doing good
I'm passing with all A's in all of my classes
the pets are all still living
even the last gerbil
Fish
who just doesn't seem to want to die
even though Taylor only feeds it probably every other week
and even more so
THE fish
(not the gerbil)
who I don't even think has a name
and is older than Fish.
I really think I'd be more sad if the fish died
rather than Fish.

Anyways
I think Harrison is finally planning to do SOMETHING
I'm not quite sure what
but hopefully he will be happy in what he does.

Other than anything I may have mentioned worth salvaging in your brain
I haven't really done anything else.

Destroying Atoms

I'm pretty excited
the video game
Spore
comes out tomorrow.
Supposedly it is the most anticipated game ever
but I don't know
how do you determine that?
But I can't wait.
I hope it's as good as it looks.

if you haven't heard
the world might end
(according to my mom)
on the ninth or something like that.
Scientists,
somewhere,
are going to try to destroy an atom
and create a black hole.
This doesn't seem very intellegent to me
but I guess they know what they're doing.
Let's just hope they do.

I just watched a documentary
that was pretty interesting.
It was about what kinds of creatures are going to live on earth
in the future.
There were a lot of crazy things
and I think that scientists are insane
because half the creatures they came up with
were exactly like what you would expect Pokemon to be like.
I was literally laughing half the time at how ridiculous the creatures were.

Before that,
I watched a documentary about the ice hotel.
I had mentioned to my friend that I wanted to go there earlier today
and she called during dinner and told me that it was on
so I watched it.
I still want to go there
and my mom suggested working there some day.
She was just joking
but I really think that would be pretty cool.
There are lots of places I want to go someday
or things I want to do.
I made a list of these things
so that I wouldn't forget.

and it was pretty awesome.

Tornados

Being stuck sitting in a school
for about two hours
is torture.
As you may have heard
a tornado hit Clemson
so Easley High school went into a tornado drill
in which we then proceeded to sit in the hallways.
I guess it was an adventure
but facing a wall of lockers isn't the most fun thing to do
for long periods of time.

I think the tornado was from the winds of Fay
but I could be wrong.
I like the name Fay
and I really like rain.
I just wish it would keep raining here
instead of a twenty minute downpour
after a one hour break.
If only it would rain when I was actually at home.
I've been dying to use my new umbrella.
It is clear
so I am assuming it will be very awesome when it pours.
Hope so at lease...

I started reading The Little Prince again
and I realized that it had been a long time since I read it last
and I forgot a lot of what happened.
Also, I realized that it is probably my favorite
or close to it
book.
It is absolutly wonderful.

I don't really have much to say
except I started school yesterday
and it wasn't much different than middle school.
I have a friend in all of my classes so far
so that's good
but nothing very interesting happened
so that's all I have.

Maneki Nekos...

Maneki Neko is the actual name
and when translated
from Japanese
means "beckoning cat"
because the paw out
waving of fingers
is a beconing gesture
in Japan.
I've decided that it would be cool to have one of these
but I want Harrison to give it to me
because he was the first person I told
that I wanted one.
So
if you will
please get me one

and is either calico
white
or black.
Each color stands for something different
calico-luck
white-purity
black-good health.
Most Maneki Neko wear a collar, bib, or bell
I don't care which it wears
or if it has one at all.

Bye bye gerbils

YAY!!
and boo...
A few days ago
Taylor noticed blood
on the gerbil cage wall
and we only had one gerbil
in that cage
so...
it was obvious
that Pim
my cat
attacked him.
Well
today when I woke up
my mom noticed that the gerbil
sadly enough
was dead.
I know I shouldn't be happy
but I am.
We've had our gerbils way too long
and now we are down to three more
Fish, And, and Chips
two girls
and a boy
so hopefully they won't live much longer
so that our room won't smell as bad
and we don't have to spend money on food
and bedding
and we can redesign my bedroom!

I've been away
for a while
at marching band camp.
I think it's going well so far
but we don't have enough enthusiasm
and everyone seems to be lazy.
It started thursday
so we've gone twice
and we already know 8 sets of our show.
Last year we knew 7 at this time
so we seem to be going at a reasonable pace
which is good.
What isn't good
is my legs hurt
because my muscles are weak
and so now it's hard for me to walk
without it hurting.

I went to the realease party
at Poor Richards
for the fourth
and last
book of the twilight series.
My friend
Meredith
or 'And miles to go before I sleep'
preordered the book
and we are going to split the cost
so I let her read it first
but I get to keep it.
In my opinion
the second and third books weren't as good
so I hope the last one is.

Totino's Pizza Rolls

I really like Pizza Rolls
and if you've never tried them
you have to.
They are the best things in the world
and without them
I would never eat lunch
because that is what I eat
every day
around four o'clock
for what I call

(breakfast is around twelvish)

and I could eat them constantly
like I do
and never get tired of them!

Today
I had a contest
with Taylor
to see who could "clay" the best dragon
personally
I like both
but when mine came out
it was a lot darker
and the "clear" clay had turned yellow
which was ugly
and I don't know why.
That's never happened to me
in all the years I've been making creatures
out of clay.
So
it is truly a mystery
but my dragon is totally going to win!

Not Enough Time!!!!

I was thinking
and I realized that life on earth isn't forever
and books are good
and so are cookies
but anyway
I was curious as to how many books I would be able to read
if I read one book every two weeks
for the rest of my life
until I was 80.
And so I calculated.
ONLY 1727!!!
I need more time.
I'll never read all the books I want.

In my calculations
I used the raw 52 weeks a year
even though that is just rounded.
Also, I didn't consider any vacations where I may be too busy to read
or any other occurance that may sidetrack me.
I only went to the age of 80
even though I never want to be that old.
But the one good side
I didn't give any leave to those books that are so good
that you read them in a day
or two if it's not so good
so there is hope that I'll read more than that
but then again
maybe not.
